This document provides detailed instructions on creating new projects with AI Storyboard, including both AI-assisted creation and manual creation methods.

Method 1: AI-Assisted Creation (Recommended)

AI-assisted creation is the fastest way, suitable for creating storyboards from scratch.

Step 1: Enter Creation Page

  1. Click the "New Project" button on the homepage
  2. By default, you'll enter the "AI-Assisted Creation" tab

Step 2: Fill Basic Information

Project Name

  • Enter your project name, for example: "Rainy Night Detective Story"
  • If left blank, the system will automatically generate a default name

Creative Description

This is the most critical part. Describe your scene or story in natural language, and AI will understand your intent and extract key elements.

Description Tips:

Good Description Example:

A suspense scene in modern urban setting. A young female detective stands at the crime scene,
wearing a gray trench coat, hair in a ponytail, with a serious expression. The scene is an
abandoned warehouse, with white chalk outlines on the floor, dim light streaming from high
windows, overall atmosphere gloomy and mysterious. Camera starts from medium shot pushing
the door, slowly advances to detective close-up, then pans the surrounding environment.

Not Good Enough:

A detective investigating a case

(Too simple, lacks details)

Elements Your Description Should Include:

1. Scene Settings

  • Environment: Indoor/outdoor, location, time
  • Lighting: Natural/artificial, bright/dim
  • Weather: Sunny/rainy/snowy, etc.

2. Character Information

  • Appearance: Age, gender, clothing
  • Action/Posture: Standing, sitting, moving, etc.
  • Expression/Emotion: Serious, sad, happy, etc.

3. Camera Language

  • Shot Type: Close-up, medium shot, long shot, etc.
  • Camera Movement: Push, pull, pan, truck, etc.
  • Angle: Eye level, high angle, low angle, etc.

4. Atmosphere & Style

  • Overall Tone: Suspense, romantic, action, etc.
  • Color Tendency: Cool/warm tones
  • Art Style: Realistic, anime, watercolor, etc.

Step 3: AI Intelligent Analysis

After clicking "Start AI Optimization", AI will:

1. Analyze Your Description

  • Extract key scene information
  • Identify characters and actions
  • Understand camera and atmosphere

2. Generate Optimized Version

  • Supplement missing details
  • Use professional storyboard terminology
  • Organize content structurally

3. Identify Consistent Elements

  • Automatically detect character features
  • Identify scene locations
  • Extract key props

Step 4: Confirm or Adjust

You can choose to:

Option A: Use AI Optimized Version

If AI's optimization meets your expectations, click "Confirm & Generate Storyboards"

Option B: Use Original Version

If you prefer your original description, click "Use Original Version"

Option C: Further Modify

If not completely satisfied, you can:

  1. View differences between original and optimized versions in Comparison View
  2. Click "Re-optimize" and enter modification suggestions
  3. Repeat until satisfied

Step 5: Generate Storyboard Scenes

AI will generate multiple storyboard scenes based on your description, each containing:

  • Scene number
  • Optimized description
  • Suggested shot type
  • Camera movement
  • Atmosphere and style

Step 6: Confirm Character & Scene Consistency

AI will automatically identify:

  • Character Information: Name, appearance features
  • Scene Information: Location, environmental features

Method 2: Manual Creation

Step 1: Choose Manual Creation Tab

Click the "Manual Creation" tab.

Step 2: Choose Template

Blank Project

  • Start from scratch, fully customizable
  • Suitable for experienced creators

Storyboard Template

  • Suitable for short films, animation, movies
  • Preset story structure

Advertisement Template

  • Suitable for ads, promotional videos
  • Emphasizes product presentation

Best Practices

1. Be Specific But Not Overly Detailed

Appropriate:

Middle-aged male detective, tired eyes, examining files in dim office

Overly Detailed:

A 45-year-old-and-3-months male detective, 178cm tall, weighing 75kg, wearing
black 65% cotton 35% polyester trench coat...

(Too technical)

2. Segment Long Stories

If your story is long (over 10 scenes), it's recommended to:

  • Divide into multiple segments
  • Describe one complete plot per segment
  • Create multiple related projects separately

3. Utilize Consistency Settings

Ensure accurate filling in "Consistency Settings":

  • Character Features: Ensure character consistency across different storyboards
  • Scene Features: Ensure environmental continuity
  • Prop Information: Clearly describe important props

FAQ

Q: What if AI optimization doesn't meet my expectations?

You can:

  1. Use the original version
  2. Re-optimize with more specific modification suggestions
  3. Use manual creation for full customization

Q: How many projects can I create?

There's no limit. However, note:

  • Data stored in local browser
  • localStorage typically 5-10MB
  • Recommend regular export backups

Q: Can I modify the project after creation?

Yes. After project creation:

  • Add/delete storyboards anytime
  • Edit any storyboard's parameters
  • Regenerate images
